Jammie, age 15I Wish to Have...a Shopping Spree Our first shop was Game Stop. Jammie had received a very generous Game Stop gift card and boy did she put it to good use! She used it all up, and then some. Afterward we browsed around Target and then jumped back into the limousine to head off to the Glendale Galleria. We started off with shoes! At first Jammie had some trouble finding that perfect fit. She could have been her very own Goldilocks “These shoes are too tight…these shoes are uncomfortable…these shoes are just right!” But in no time she became Cinderella with many glass slippers. We took a break from shoes and went to Victoria's Secret. From there we strolled along to Tilly's for some clothes and you guessed it, some more shoes. Then we were off to the Apple Store but at this point, everyone’s stomach was grumbling and after some discussion we decided to take a break for lunch. We crossed the street and headed into the Cheesecake Factory. The entire staff was wonderful! They set us up a table right in front and the manager assured us that he had assigned his best waitress. Everyone ate until there stomachs were hanging over their belts. I looked at the time and we only had roughly an hour left of shopping before we had to go home. I quickly called around to find out if we could have an extra hour since Jammie had only spent about her wish money. Our chauffeur, Monroe, was awesome! He said he would gladly donate an hour of his time for Jammie. The smile on Jammie's face was priceless when she heard the news. Now all cylinders were firing as Jammie put the pedal to the metal. Before going back to the Galleria, we stopped at Barnes and Noble in the Americana. After buying a bag full of videos we went back to finish conquering the Glendale Galleria. We went to all of Jammie’s favorite stores: Urban Outfitters, Sephora, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and finally to the Apple Store to take care of our unfinished business. By this point our legs were weary, but Jammie’s smile was not. It was a long day of shopping, but one filled with much joy and happiness. Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR. |
