A Season of Wishes A Season of Wishes Details: Each year the Foundation teams up with Los Angeles-area businesses and community leaders for a 6-week celebration entitled A Season of Wishes. The campaign will feature high-profile events, family activities, celebrity appearances and, most importantly, the granting of children's wishes.
Weekly Wish CelebrationsJoin us on Tuesday evenings in December at the Grove at 6pm as we celebrate the wishes of four children, bringing them hope, strength and joy and they battle life-threatening medical conditions. Tuesday, December 1st: Join us as we celebrate Miranda's wish for a backyard playset. Because Miranda loves to paint, we will be painting her pictures and presenting her with an easel she can use to paint in her playhouse. Continue to join us December 8, December 15 and December 22 as we celebrate additional wishes.
The Gingerbread Man Cookie will satisfy any sweet tooth this season. Made from molasses, a blend of warm spices and simply decorated with white icing, currants and red candy coated pieces, the Gingerbread Man cookie is sure to inspire holiday cheer. Panera Bread of Greater Los Angeles is proud to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Panera Bread and its franchisees also support charitable causes through its Operation Dough-Nation® program. Since it was founded in 1992 to formalize Panera’s commitment to community involvement, Operation Dough-Nation has contributed both monetary and bread donations through its Community Breadbox™ and Day-End Dough-Nation™ programs to local food pantries, hunger relief agencies and other community organizations. In 2008, Panera Bread bakery-cafes collectively donated a retail value of more than 50 million dollars worth of bread and baked goods to charitable organizations helping to address the need for food distribution in our local communities. The Make-A-Wish Foundation Christmas Tree PromotionThe Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles is partnering with three Christmas Tree lots in the surrounding Los Angeles county. Spread the holiday cheer and come out to support these Christmas Tree lots! Each lot is donating $2,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. They will also be raising money throughout the month! Panera’s new Gingerbread Man Cookie will be sold throughout the Los Angeles area market in participating bakery-cafes on November 29th – December 24th.
